Plastic waste reduction depends on how often the floss loop is replaced.

 

A single floss loop can typically last about 30 days and when used for 30 days this reduces plastic waste by 98% compared to a single-use disposable floss pick.

After each use the floss loop can be rinsed and stored in the same way a toothbrush is rinsed and stored.

 

Some users my not be comfortable using the same loop for 30 days and some may prefer to use it once only.

​There is no scientific reason for replacing the floss loop after each use, nor is there any reason to not keep using the same loop till it breaks  - it's matter of choice and culture.
